Advanced Medical Certification (“AMC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides educational content, resources, and training related to health care education, and life-saving preparedness through advancedmedicalcertification.com (the “Website”) and related services. This Generative Artificial Intelligence Use Policy (the “AI Policy”)  describes our policies and procedures regarding the responsible use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) in support of our educational mission. We may use AI in limited and responsible ways to assist with content development, operational efficiency, and user experience. AI is used as a supportive tool and is not a replacement for certified instruction, professional judgment, or human oversight.

This AI Policy explains how AI may be used in connection with our Website, educational materials, and services, as well as our guiding principles regarding transparency, safety, accountability, and ethical use.

This policy should be read in conjunction with Advanced Medical Certification’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, which govern your access to and use of the Website and related services.

How AMC Uses Generative AI

AMC may use Generative AI to enhance efficiency, clarity, accessibility, and consistency of informational content. AI is used to assist team members, not to replace certified instructors, licensed professionals, or expert review.

AI-assisted use may include, but is not limited to:

  • Drafting and refining educational and general informational content
  • Improving readability, tone, and consistency across Website materials
  • Assisting with design, graphics, or multimedia content
  • Supporting content organization, summaries, or accessibility improvements
  • Analyzing aggregated, non-identifiable data to improve user experience

All AI-assisted content is reviewed by qualified team members prior to publication.

AI Monitoring, Analytics, and Transparency

AMC may use AI-assisted tools to support limited analytics, content optimization, or operational insights, such as improving navigation, accessibility, or overall user experience.

We do not use Generative AI to make automated decisions that determine learner eligibility, certification status, or assessment outcomes.

If AI-assisted tools are used to support monitoring, analytics, or engagement insights, such use is conducted in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, and does not involve automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects. Any AI-assisted analytics or monitoring described in this policy is subject to the data collection, processing, safeguards, and user rights outlined in our Privacy Policy.

Important Health and Safety Disclaimer

Content provided on the Website, whether AI-assisted or not, is offered for educational and informational purposes only.

Generative AI is not used to provide:

  • Medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations
  • Emergency response instructions
  • Substitute guidance for ILCOR Standard and Guidelines, licensed medical professionals, or emergency responders

In medical or emergency situations, users should always seek guidance from qualified professionals or local emergency services.

You acknowledge and agree that AI-assisted content may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. To the fullest extent permitted by law, AMC disclaims any liability arising from reliance on AI-assisted content.

Human Oversight and Accuracy

Because health and safety information carries significant responsibility, AMC maintains a human-in-the-loop approach to all AI usage.

This includes:

  • Reviewing AI outputs for accuracy, clarity, and appropriateness
  • Evaluating content against recognized standards and guidelines
  • Making corrections and updates when necessary

AI systems can generate incomplete or inaccurate information; therefore, human oversight is mandatory at all critical stages.

Fairness, Bias Mitigation, and Inclusive Content

AMC is committed to promoting fairness, inclusivity, and non-discrimination in the use of Generative AI.

We take reasonable steps to:

  • Evaluate AI tools and outputs for potential bias or unintended disparities
  • Review AI-assisted content to ensure it reflects inclusive and diverse perspectives
  • Avoid reinforcing stereotypes or exclusionary assumptions in educational materials

Human review plays a critical role in identifying and mitigating bias. AI is not used to make automated decisions that affect learner access, certification outcomes, or individual opportunities.

Transparency and Ethical Use

AMC is committed to ethical, transparent, and responsible use of Generative AI. We strive to:

  • Disclose the role of AI when it materially contributes to user-facing content or services where transparency would affect user understanding or trust;
  • Avoid misleading representations of AI-generated or AI-assisted content;
  • Use AI in ways that align with our nonprofit mission and public trust;
  • Avoid prompts that include sensitive, confidential, or personal information; and
  • Use AI to support education and awareness, not to automate decisions that could impact individual health or safety.

In practice, this commitment applies as follows:

AMC currently deploys AI-powered chatbots on its website and within its course platforms to support customer service and learner engagement. Users are notified when they are interacting with an AI system. For AI-assisted content production, such as scripting, visuals, or narration in training videos,  policy-level disclosure is generally sufficient. However, where content features a fully AI-generated presenter or instructor, a clear disclosure will be included within or alongside that content.

Disclosure may occur through product notices, content labeling, or this policy depending on the context and significance of the AI’s role.

Academic Integrity and Acceptable Use of AI

AMC is committed to maintaining the integrity, credibility, and reliability of its educational programs and certifications.

Unless explicitly permitted, learners may not use Generative AI tools to:

  • Complete exams, quizzes, assessments, or certification requirements
  • Generate answers for knowledge checks or graded coursework
  • Circumvent learning objectives, assessment standards, or certification requirements

Permitted use of AI by learners may include:

  • Assisting with studying, brainstorming, or summarizing concepts for personal learning
  • Improving clarity or understanding of non-assessed educational materials

AMC reserves the right to investigate suspected misuse of AI in connection with coursework, assessments, or certifications. Violations of this policy may result in corrective action, including invalidation of results, revocation of certification, or restriction of access to services, as permitted by applicable policies and terms. This section supplements, and does not replace, the academic integrity and acceptable use provisions set forth in our Terms of Use.

Data Privacy and Protection

Protecting user privacy is a top priority.

  • We do not intentionally input personal, sensitive, or confidential information into Generative AI systems
  • AI tools are used in alignment with applicable privacy and data protection laws

We may use AI technologies to analyze aggregated or anonymized course data and customer feedback to improve our products and services. This data is not used to train generative AI models. For more information, please review our Privacy Policy. Our data practices are designed to comply with applicable regulations, including GDPR and CCPA where relevant.

Legal and Intellectual Property Considerations

AMC respects intellectual property rights and applicable laws related to AI-assisted content.

Our commitments include:

  • Avoiding infringement of copyrights, trademarks, and proprietary materials
  • Reviewing AI-assisted content for originality and legal compliance
  • Clearly defining ownership and usage rights where applicable

The legal landscape surrounding Generative AI continues to evolve, and we monitor developments to ensure ongoing compliance.

Limitations of Generative AI

While Generative AI can enhance efficiency and accessibility, it has inherent limitations. AI-generated content may:

  • Contain inaccuracies or outdated information
  • Lack full contextual understanding
  • Require expert review to ensure safety and correctness

For these reasons, AI is never used as the sole authority for instructional, safety-related, or health-related content.

Ongoing Review and Updates

Generative AI technologies and related regulations are rapidly evolving. AMC regularly reviews and updates its AI practices and policies to reflect emerging standards, legal requirements, and best practices.

This policy may be updated periodically to maintain transparency, accountability, and compliance.
