Are your exams based on the latest provider handbooks?
Yes, our course materials are based on The American Heart Association (AHA) 2015 Edition ACLS Provider Handbook, The American Heart Association (AHA) 2015 Edition BLS Provider Handbook, The American Heart Association (AHA) 2015 Edition PALS Provider Handbook, The American Heart Association (AHA) 2015 Edition CPR Provider Handbook.
Do you provide study materials?
Yes. Provider handbooks are included (digitally) with all certifications.
Are you AHA (American Heart Association), ACS (American College of Surgeons), AAP (American Association of Pediatrics) certified?
No, the AHA, ACS, AAP do not endorse nor are they affiliated with ANY fully online certification program.
Does the program come with CME credits?
Yes. Our ACLS, BLS, and PALS courses are eligible for AMA Category 1 Credits™ and our CPR courses are eligible for AMA category 2 CME. The American Emergency Medical Advisory Association (AEMAA) and the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine (PIM), both accredited, online medical certification regulatory organizations, have completed a full evaluation of AMC's courses. Our ACLS, PALS and BLS Certification and Recertification training courses have been fully approved and are accredited by the PIM for AMA Category 1 Credits™. Our CPR Certification and Recertification training courses have been fully approved and are accredited by the AEMAA for Category 2 CME.
Upon reviewing the courses, the Postgraduate Institute for Medicine has determined our ACLS and PALS Certification Courses to be worth up to 8 CME AMA Category 1 Credits™, and our BLS Certification Course up to 4 credits. The Postgraduate Institute for Medicine has determined our ACLS and PALS Recertification Courses to be worth up to 4 CME Credits, and our BLS Recertification Course up to 2 CME credits.
The AEMAA has determined our CPR Certification Course to be worth up to 6 Category 2 Credits.
Do you require a skills test?
We do not require a skills test to complete our online courses. Each course now includes a Clinical Skills video from our new Clinical Skills Video Series. Each video gives a complete demonstration of the correct procedures for that respective exam. Each course also includes written study materials that explain the information found in a skills test.
Do I have a time limit to finish my exam?
No. Our programs are designed to be taken at your own pace. We are considerate of health care professional's busy schedules. Should you begin a exam and find yourself unable to finish it in one sitting, all answers are automatically saved and you may pick up where you left off.
How many questions are there on the exam?
The total number of questions varies on the program.
What happens if I don't pass the exam?
Our certification programs include unlimited retakes of certification exams. Every attempt, you receive a new set of questions.
How long is my account active?
Your account will always remain active.
Do your programs ensure those certified are proficient in performing these skills?
Our programs are educational programs that test upon the concepts and basic skills of advanced cardiovascular life support, pediatric advanced life support and basic life support. Program completion does not ensure that an individual has the competence to perform these skills. It is the responsibility of each hospital or practice to determine the level of competence and qualifications required for someone to assume clinical responsibilities for these.

Are your certifications accepted nationally?

My certification has been expired for a while; can I still receive my recertification through you?
Yes, we can recertify you regardless of the time that has lapsed since your last certification.
How long are your certifications valid for?
All provider cards are valid for 2 years after the date certification awarded.
Will you mail me my provider card?
Yes. As soon as you pass the exam, you will be granted instant access to a digital provider card. You can use this digital copy while waiting for your physical provider card that we will mail to you.
How long does it take for my provider card to arrive?
Please allow 5-7 business days, depending on your location, to receive your card.

If your employer fails to recognize any of our certifications, we will issue you a full refund.
