Intraosseous Access Protocols

Knowing that various resuscitation tools are accessible to you is an important part of PALS. These tools are categorized further into two subcategories: medical devices and pharmacological tools. Instrument that is used to facilitate care, diagnose, or treat is considered a medical device, while medications that are used to treat common challenges experienced during a pediatric emergency is referred to as pharmacological tools. Best care can be provided for a child or infant once there is an extensive understanding of these resuscitation tools.

Take Note

Without actual training, intraosseous access must not be performed.
