What is CPR certification?

CPR Certification is a group of problem-solving medical procedures and techniques designed to provide urgent treatment of life threatening cardiac emergencies such as cardiac arrest and stroke. CPR Plus includes Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and First Aid training.

The CPR certification online courses offer advanced preparation and training to healthcare and other professionals to ensure you have the skills and knowledge to act appropriately in the event of an emergency. All certification courses comply with the American Heart Association’s guidelines for these procedures and techniques.

What should receive CPR certification?

The skills of CPR training are often required of a wide group of medical professionals at various levels, including anyone who may come in contact with patients in hospitals, doctor’s offices, medical clinics and other settings. Due to the universal nature of these procedures, sometimes even non-medical staff may be required or encouraged to become certified.

What is recertification and when is it necessary?

Most medical certifications expire within a certain timeframe to ensure those who are certified are trained in the most current guidelines and procedures. Recertification training is a recap of all CPR skills with an emphasis on the most recent procedure updates or changes.

What is the difference between online and classroom training?

Yes – as long as you choose the right online provider. AMC has developed a highly advanced curriculum of online certification courses. Our courses, training materials and exams are constructed in accordance with the American Heart Association’s standards, guidelines and training handbooks.

AMC’s online courses do have one major difference from classroom lessons – time. Our courses make it possible for you to get certified in as little as one hour. You take the classes on your schedule and at the location of your choosing rather than in a classroom with a set timetable. You get excellent training and the certification you need, but without the time or hassle of a classroom setting or waiting to find an open class.
